- Devotional life of students (formal devotions in the evening is regular, but taking Quite Time / personal time with God is lacking in many student’s life)
- UESI Discipleship camp to be held next week end where a few of CTH students are planning to attend.
- The need of a guitar for CTH as our existing old one is in a damaged condition. Students checked the market and the guitar they identified is Hertz (Semi Accustic) costing Rs. 6820. A lower version of Givson is available for Rs. 3150. Two types of covers are there costing Rs. 250 and Rs. 550.
CTH had its first formal outreach on 26th January (Republic Day) at Safe India, Chennai. Safe India is a ministry focussing on church planting. They have some social engagements too including an orphanage at Villivakkam, Chennai. CTH students spent the evening with the orphanage children. We sang for them, taught them songs, had games with them, showed cartoon video, distributed gifts (worth about Rs. 1,500 all contributed by the CTH students), served cool drinks and snacks and spent personal time with them. All through the programme we shared the gospel. It was a big exposure for the CTH students and a blessing for the Safe India inmates.
The best part was that all the CTH students participated in the programme wholeheartedly and acted as a team. The most difficult part was to bring back our students from the orphanage. They wanted to spend more time with the children interacting with them. On the same day evening we had a devotion based on the life of Good Samaritan taken by Rev. Finney Alexander (Chaplain, CMC, Vellore) which was apt to the occasion. We praise God for the event and pray that outreach would become a part of the CTH student’s life.
