We wish you a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year!
Christmas season is one of the most blessed and sacred times but people have made it the most hurry-burry time of the year. All are busy going from store to store to buy things. No time for the Lord who came into the world as God’s Gift for all mankind! See John 3: 16. Christmas means Christ’s birth. Let all Christians celebrate His birth by telling others about Him. Instead of doing that, the world is too busy, making this sacred season a mess! The devil and his followers want to take Christ out of Christmas and call the sacred season, “happy holidays”. Christmas is holy days!
CHRIST is the reason for the season. To know who Christ is, will make a world of difference. So let us share the Biblical concept of Christmas by analyzing the word “C H R I S T”.
C H R I S T is:
The One who was born in Bethlehem as a Babe, existed, as God, prior to the foundation of the world. The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-3) “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him (Col. 1: 16). We are His because He created us. Praise the Lord!
“For I am the Lord who heals you” (Ex. 15: 26). He says, “I will take sickness away from the midst of you” (Ex. 23: 25). Christ heals body, mind and the spirit of man. He is the supreme Healer. On August 22, 2010 Meleth had a stroke. Was admitted in the hospital. To every body’s surprise, he is up and around. It is only because of the healing power of Christ! He heals us. Praise the Lord!
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law…” (Gal. 3: 13): He shed His precious blood to redeem men and women from their sins and make them God’s children. All who accept Him as personal Savior are redeemed! They become new creatures and will say, “Praise the Lord”!
“Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, ‘God with us’ (Matt. 1:23). He is with us, night and day (See Matthew 28: 19, 20). Praise the Lord for His presence with the redeemed!
“Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2: 10, 11). He will save all sinners! John 1: 12 tells us how a sinner can be saved. By His grace He saved us. Praise the Lord for His saving power!
Christ is the truth incarnate. He said, “I am the Truth” (John 14: 6). Those who know Him know the truth and the truth makes them free (See John 8: 32, 36). All that are saved by Him will walk in His truth. Christ is the absolute truth, praise the Lord!!
The year 2010 has been a wonderful year for us, for our children and 8 grandchildren. God’s best gift to us is Jesus Christ! Along with Him God will continue to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. He is all in all for us and we continue to worship and serve Him! Praise the Lord!
May our triune God bless you abundantly above we can ask or think during this Christmas season and give you a happy, prosperous, joyful and peaceful New Year!
Yours in Christ,
Rev. & Mrs. Meleth J. Thomas
