The General Convention is a public gospel meeting held every year during the week that includes January 26, Sabha Dinam (Church Anniversary), at Bishop Abraham Nagger the venue named after the Late Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Thoma, Metropolitan. Bishops of the church, Vicar Generals and many distinguished orators from foreign and native countries have been delivering gospel during these convention days. The morning Bible class followed by different missionary meetings, conferences, evening meetings and the Holy communion on final Sunday are the key programs of the convention. During the week of the General Convention, presbyters, evangelists, sevanis and other believers would stay at the Church premises and attend the various meetings and offer services. The General Convention ends on Sunday with Holy Communion Service followed by the public meeting. The General Convention serves the purpose of spiritually strengthening the people of the church.
