Rev. Jobi Mathew: North India Mission Trip – Tripura

Comments Off on Rev. Jobi Mathew: North India Mission Trip – Tripura

Thank you for your regular Prayers. My trip to Tripura was very much tiring and challenging but went well by God’s grace. I really appreciate your prayers. I will be leaving for the North Indian states of Madhya Pradesh, Chathisgad, Jarkhand and Bihar to encourage the missionaries there and see the wonderfull works of the Lord. Please continue to pray.

The Tripura trip was very much challenging after the 38 hours train journey we had to catch a plane from Kolkatta (to cross the Bangladesh border), then a jeep to the local railway station and a local train journey for 6 hrs and then again a jeep journey through the thick forest for an hour to reach this tribal village. It is very close to the Mizorom state border. We stayed there with the local believers and ate the food that they cooked. Took bath in the open area or at the local lakes. Not enough toilet or sleeping facilities. No shops or any such facilities close by. Houses are completely made of Bamboo. Lot of mosquitoes and other insects without any fan or such facilities. Electricity comes only once a while. Please pray for PM Samuel achen and John sir and Jerish achen as they continue their stay there. We had a good time with the tribal believers there. They are in very much need of proper leadership and spiritual care. Please pray that the team and STECI will get the right kind of directions from the Lord. It is challenging but let us pray so that the Lord will lead some one to take up these challenges and to reach the unreached areas.

In the Lord
Rev. Jobi Mathew
