Rev P. V. Eapen Achen went to be with the Lord
” I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
Our beloved P.V.Eapen Achen went to be with the Lord this morning after completing his earthly sojourn for 64 years. He was ordained in STECI in 1996 and served as a missionary presbyter in South Canara (Mangalore) centre and Trivandrum Centre. He also served as vicar in these centres as well as Thrissur- Palakkad and Kottarkkara centres.
He met with an accident on 27th October 2015 while travelling to Mavelikkara from Thrikkannamangal in his bike. He was found seriously injured lying on the road side and then was taken to Taluk hospital, Adoor and then was shifted to Annanthapury Hospital, Trivandrum. In November he was brought to Believer’s Hospital, Tiruvalla under the supervision of Dr. Mohan Varghese, Chairman of the STECI Medical Fellowship who is also serving as the Associate Director of Believers Hospital.
Lately he was showing signs of improvements but this morning following a massive heart attack he was taken to his heavenly abode peacefully. Eapen Achen was missionary to the chore and a church planter. He fought the good fight, run his race and kept the faith. Please pray for Kochamma, Sam and Stanley and their families. P.V.Eapen Achen’s body will be brought to Sabha Central Chapel tomorrow the 26 July for viewing from 2-4 pm. Then the body will be taken to Pullencherry Nilambur for funeral on 27th Wednesday 3 pm.
We express grief over the demise of Eapen Achen and pray that the peace of God that passeth all understanding may fill the heart of all bereaved family members. I also express our sincere thanks to all who prayed and generously co-operated with us in needs on behalf of the Pastoral Board and Sabha Council.
