With a grateful heart, we all humble ourselves under the Mighty Lord for all the blessings He had showered on the STECI Youth Camp-2007 at Anugraha Renewal Center,Vazhoor…Totally around 475 people registered in the camp and 375 youths including 12 families stayed for all the 3 days….We extend a BIG thanks for your prayers.

25th August Evening:
the Camp was inaugurated by Bishop T.C.Cherian.He reminded about the importance of holding the most holy faith. Then on session-1, Rev.Dr.C.V.Mathew achen spoke about “Watch your life and doctrine”…Achen mainly emphasized on “Rule of life” and “Rule of conduct”.

26th August, Sunday:
The Morning session started with the Holy Communion…After that, Br.Philip Cherian spoke about the importance of God in the life of a person…Then we had group study and around 20 groups discussed from John 6:25-59…Afternoon Br.Anu and his wife Sheba (Orissa) shared their experiences in Mission field in Orissa. Anu had to be in jail for a few days for spreading the Gosepl. After that Dr.Arun (Graham Staines Mission Hospital,Orissa) shared his experiences in JIPMER,Pondicherry and Baripada Hospital…Dr.Arun actually comes from a Hindu background and he studied MBBS in JIPMER, a prestigious institution in India.There he came to know the Christ and got saved. Then he counted the charms of this world as rubbish for the sake of Christ and went to Baripada,Orissa as a Missonary doctor….
Evening C.V.Mathew achen took the session “Who we are”, which deals with Biblical understanding on human. Late evening we had Rev.Achenkunju achen from Amla shared the updates from Amla and some video clippings of Bihar,Orissa mission field . We also had a Power point presentation on Hindi Belt Mission and Gigi Joseph explained about it.

27th August, Monday
The Morning started with a challenging devotion from Dr.Arun…He asked a question to all regarding the “worthiness of Jesus Christ”…”Can we see Jesus as the most worthy in this world”? After that C.V.Mathew achen unleashed with a beautiful session on”what is wrong with in us?” which deals with sin that has corrupted the humanity…After that Br.Jojo (UESI) took a session on “How to Study Bible?”…He took the session with lot of illustrations and made it understandable to every one.
Afternoon we divided the whole group in to three…The sessions for teens was lead by Dr.Alex,Dr.Arun and Ganga Alex… The general session which comprises of Peer Pressure,Mobile Phone,Television,Internet,Yoga and Fiction was taken by Dr.P.C.Thomas(Kollam) and Br.Philip Cherian. Evening we had the Biblical preaching challenge where people enthusiastically participated. And the evening session was led by Br.Philip Cherian and the subject was “Is Jesus Christ unique?”…Late evening we had a special session on introduction of the new believers from kollam, presentation on Graham Staines Mission Hospital and   Oddenchatram Hospital..After than C.V.Mathew achen and Br.Philip Cherian had given the answers for the queries from the attendees…
28th August, Tuesday
The Morning Session started with the devotion by Dr.Alex.He focussed on the life of Daniel and urged all to live as a missonary in this world.Then Br.Philip Cherian took the session on “The Indwelling Holy Spirit and holiness in life” and he exhorted all to obey the Spirit and live according to our call.The final session was presided by Rev.John.V.John achen.C.V.Mathew achen gave the concluding message. He adjured all to live a godly life and go  to the unreached areas to do the work of Lord.The testimony session was lead by Rev.Mathews Abraham.Two youths dedicated themselves for full time ministry and many dedicated to do the Lord’s work with their profession.May Lord honor their commitment and w e are indeed thankful to Lord for giving such heart to our youths.

This camp was a collobrative effort of many people. We are grateful to all who labored hard in this…Rev.Kurian Sam, Rev.Mathews Abraham.P, Mathews, Binu Chiramel, Jain George, Johny, Satyan,Johnychayan,Kunjumonychayan,Evg.Biju ,Evg.Sherin etc are some of the names to highlight…Please pray for all these brothers and God will reward them according to His riches.
The singing session was lead by Bro.Jojo,Marina,Linu,Linsa and Sam.Also Siju and his friends from Edayaranmula was phenomenal in the light and sound arrangements…We praise God for these committed youths.

The expense of the camp came around Rs.2 lakhs and we trust in God…We request all the parishes who promised the contribution to send it ASAP.
For Sunday school children, we had the parallel sessions under the leadership of Rev.Kurian sam and Sunday school missionaries…So the families got the opportunity to concentrate fully on the whole sessions.We are grateful to achen and the missonaries

Pray for all the youths who took the decision to follow Lord. We praise God for providing the good weather and other needs…The session held in a pleasant environment.
